Joseph Duggar, 31, a former star of 19 Kids and Counting, was arrested this week on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a minor. According to investigators, the victim — now 14 — told police Duggar allegedly abused her during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was just 9 years old. Duggar reportedly confessed to both the victim's father and law enforcement.

He is the second Duggar son to face criminal charges involving child sexual abuse. His older brother Josh is currently serving a 12½-year federal prison sentence for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.

Reports indicate Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were aware of the allegations involving Joseph and sought church counseling rather than contacting police — mirroring their response to Josh's abuse disclosures years earlier.
