Search for Nancy Guthrie Continues as Savannah Guthrie Plans Return to “Today”

More than a month after the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the investigation remains active as her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, prepares to return to work.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, vanished from her Tucson-area home on January 31. Authorities believe she may have been abducted, and both local investigators and the FBI have been working to track down leads ever since.

The case quickly gained national attention due to Savannah Guthrie’s role as co-host of Today. She stepped away from the broadcast in early February to support her family and assist in the search.

In the weeks since, the Guthrie family has offered a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to Nancy’s recovery or an arrest.

Savannah Guthrie recently visited NBC’s New York studio and confirmed she plans to return to the Today show, though a specific date has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, investigators continue reviewing tips and evidence in hopes of bringing answers to a case that has left a family—and much of the country—waiting for news.
